// TERMS

Terms of Service

Effective 2026-10-22

These terms apply when you use gravex chat (the chat API, SDK and console) provided by GravEx ("we"). By signing up or using a key you agree to them.

1. The service

gravex chat gives developers a chat engine (WebSocket and REST API), an SDK, and a console to manage apps and keys, so they can add chat to their own product. The current specification, pricing and per-app default limits are as listed on the pricing page.

2. Accounts

Signing up and logging in need an email address, confirmed with a code we email you (or with a Google or GitHub account). Give accurate information and look after the mailbox and sign-in methods linked to your account yourself. Activity under your account is treated as yours.

The person who creates an account can view and change its apps, keys and app data in the console.

3. Apps and keys

Creating an app issues a publishable key (pk_) and a secret key (sk_). Use the secret key only on your server; never put it in a browser, app code or a public repository. A secret key is shown once when issued and we do not store it. If a key is exposed, revoke it right away and issue a new one.

There are caps on apps per account and keys per app, and each app has rate and size limits. See them on the pricing page and in the console Limits tab.

4. Your responsibilities

You will not:

  • let your product carry content that breaks the law or third-party rights
  • abuse the service for spam, fraud or malware
  • bypass limits or load the engine enough to disturb other apps
  • test or breach the security of the service (report vulnerabilities to the contact below)

You are responsible for notices, consents, terms and personal-data handling toward the end users of your own service.

5. Data

The users, rooms and messages of your app are your data, and we process them only to provide the service. How personal data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

You can read your data through the REST API with your secret key. We recommend keeping your own copy of anything important.

6. Deletion

Deleting an app in the console revokes all of its keys and cuts its connections. Running 'Delete permanently' afterwards erases its users, rooms and messages from the engine, and they cannot be restored. To delete an account, contact us below.

7. Availability and changes

The service is free and has no availability guarantee. It can be interrupted by maintenance, outages or problems at external providers. If that happens we restore it as soon as we notice.

Before we change the specification, pricing or limits, we publish the change on the pricing page.

8. Restrictions and ending use

If you break these terms or harm the service, we may revoke keys, suspend apps or restrict the account. You can end your use at any time by deleting your apps and asking us to delete your account.

9. Limit of liability

We work to run the service reliably, but to the extent the law allows we are not liable for data loss or lost business while using a free service. This does not apply to intent or gross negligence on our part.

10. Contact and changes

Write to admin@gravex.app with questions. If these terms change, we publish the new version here with its effective date.
